Hector Galán, director of The Forgotten Americans, Los Lonely Boys, and numerous films for PBS will be present for a private reception and special sneal preview of The Big Squeeze. Be among the first to see Galán’s joyful, 26 minute video about talented young accordion players competing in Texas Folklife’s statewide contest.

And then -- hear one of these extraordinary young players, live! Austin’s own Big Squeeze semi-finalist from 2008, Anthony Ortiz, Jr., will play with Mariachi Corbetas featuring his dad, Anthony Sr., on guitarron, grandfather Guadalupe “Lupe” Ortiz on guitar and award-winning vocalist Jose Gonzales.
