WE ARE EXTREMELY SORRY THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT; WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AND LOOK FORWARD TO SERVING YOU WITH ANOTHER GREAT PROGRAM IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Texas Folklife will celebrate "El Dia del Musico" with good friends Los Texmaniacs, PLUS guest appearance by David Hidalgo & Steve Berlin of Los Lobos.  All Texas Folklife members - new and old - are invited to celebrate our 30+ years of supporting Texas roots musicians.  What's more, members get to visit our new Texas Folklife House.

The Grammy-winning Los Texmaniacs hardly need an introduction. The band is comprised of founder Max Baca on bajo sexto, Josh Baca on accordion, Noel Hernandez on electric bass, and Lorenzo Martinez on the drums. Los Texmaniacs won the 2010 Grammy award for Best Tejano Album, Borders y Bailes, on the Smithsonian Folkways label. Their sound has been called “hip music everybody can relate to” and is comprised of conjunto, rock, and rhythm and blues. Los Texmaniacs will be joined by Rock N Roll Hall of Famers Steve Berlin and David Hidalgo of Los Lobos. It will be a special night as the new Texmaniacs CD, Americano Groove, will be featured.

The St. Cecilia house concert is free to all members of Texas Folklife.  Space is limited in this intimate setting, so please reserve your tickets at Brown Paper Tickets.

Lapsed and new members are welcome, too.  You can join or renew your membership HERE.

Student/Senior and Individual Members may reserve one ticket; Family Members and above may reserve 2.
