Texas Folklife is saddened by the passing of Anthony Ortiz Jr. Ortiz who was a finalist for the 2009 Big Squeeze when he was only 15 years old, and had become a master accordionist until his untimely death at the young age of 24.
His passing represents a loss to the accordion world and to Texas Folklife.
