Introduction to Audacity Workshop
Workshop Description:
Texas Folklife welcomes the community to an audio editing workshop using Audacity. This workshop is primarily for beginners to Audacity ... or those that want to freshen up their audio editing skills! This workshop is open to all 18 years or older. Workshop participants are welcome to bring an audio piece to begin working with in Audacity. At the end of the workshop, there will be some time for the instructor to help with your own project.
Laptops are required. If you do not have a laptop, we may be able to accommodate you. Please let us know in advance. Feel free to bring a snack and beverage.
Location: Texas Folklife Gallery, 1708 Houston Street, Austin, Texas
Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Registration is $30; non-refundable. Registration closes September 22 at 11:59 pm central.
About the Facilitator Kate Murray:
Kate is a native Austinite, and has been working with the Texas Folklife Stories team since 2017. Kate has facilitated workshops at Maker Educator in Space 8 at Thinkery, and has worked with all age levels. She has traveled to Uganda & Rwanda where she began her storytelling journey. Kate holds a B.A. from St. Edward's University in Global Studies, History, and Psychology.
