Texas Folklife is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, presenting, and documenting the diverse cultures and living heritage of the Lone Star State. Since 1984, Texas Folklife has honored the cultural traditions passed down within communities across Texas and explored their importance in contemporary society. Texas Folklife promotes, presents and documents the state’s rich cultural legacy through a vibrant mix of exhibitions, performances, community residencies, apprenticeships, and educational programs in Austin and around the state.
Position: Data Management and Administrative Liaison Internship
Start Date: Position open until filled
Time Commitment: Part-time at 10+hours per week, preferably two to three times a week (office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm)
Supervisor: Maya Williams-Britton, Marketing and Membership Coordinator
Job Description:
Texas Folklife seeks a student to support our mission in a volunteer capacity as a Data Management and Administrative Liaison Intern. The main priority of the Intern is to successfully migrate our donor database platform by the completion of the semester. The intern will also assist Texas Folklife staff in administrative
tasks related to fundraising, file management, membership coordination, marketing, and office management. The intern will receive a small stipend at the end of a successful internship.
Description and Duties:

Assist with Membership and Donor Database management and migration

Assist with email campaigns, including list maintenance

Assist in Membership and Donor campaign implementation

Attend virtual staff meetings and events when assigned

Purchase and pick up supplies and materials

Post current events to Community Calendars

Assist with Marketing Campaigns as assigned

Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks as assigned
Skills and Experience:
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Strong organization and planning skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
-
Ability to handle multiple priorities
-
Good understanding of nonprofit workplace expectations
Requirements:

Must be able to work 10+ hours per week

Must have access to reliable internet access and capability to work remotely
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred areas of interest include Arts Administration, Development, Data Management, and/or Marketing
