Accordionist Cameron Dupuy not only won the Big Squeeze in 2021 but won 8 other contest titles before that and plays alongside his father Michael Dupuy in the band who received a Grammy nomination for their debut self-titled album, “Cameron Dupuy and the Cajun Troubadours” in late 2020.

Current Members can reserve assigned covered seating for the 33rd Annual Accordion Kings & Queens Concert on June 4th at the Miller Outdoor Theatre before they are available to the general public on June 3rd. The deadline to reserve tickets is May 31st!
All tickets will be sent digitally in an email attachment from Purple Pass by June 3rd and can be printed or scanned from your mobile device for admission into the theatre.

General Admission Tickets Available June 3rd
General Admission Tickets under the covered seating will be available on the Miller Outdoor Theatre Website starting June 3rd at 10:00 AM Central Time. Tickets are limited to four (4) per person. Limited amounts of tickets will be available at the box office on the night of the performance.
No tickets are necessary for seating on the hill.

Since 1989, the Accordion Kings & Queens Concert has been a staple event of the Houston area. Bringing in capacity crowds at the Miller Outdoor Theatre, AKQ celebrates the musical diversity of the accordion within Texan cultural communities. Historically, the show has showcased the genres of polka, conjunto, zydeco, cajun, Tejano, swing, & more. This year, the event will take place live at the Miller Outdoor Theatre and online.

All tickets to Accordion Kings & Queens are FREE! Texas Folklife Members have the opportunity to reserve tickets in advance through our Ticket Reservation form. General Tickets (offered through the Miller Theatre Website) will be available closer to the show date. Read below for more information on claiming covered seating for the 33ed Annual Accordion Kings & Queens.

How to Find Us
We will be located on the backside of the theatre building, to the right of the Miller Theatre Box Offices (if facing the Box Office). We will have "Texas Folklife" signs and banners displayed.
Picking Up Texas Folklife Member Raffle Tickets
Please check in with a Texas Folklife Team member to pick up your complimentary raffle tickets for the Hohner Accordion or Custom Handmade Cowboy Boots Raffles.
You will NOT be picking up your show tickets at the Texas Folklife table! Please check the email account that you filled out your RSVP form with for an email from Purple Pass. Attached to that email will be your tickets. Members must fill out the Ticket RSVP Form by May 31st to claim tickets.

Our annual raffle is back with two exciting prizes: a brand new Hohner Accordion and a Pair of Custom Cowboy Boots from Al's Handmade Boots!
Raffle tickets will be available to purchase in-person at the Texas Folklife Merchandise Table for $5 a ticket.
Current Texas Folklife Members and those who become a member or renew their memberships before or during the show will receive the following amount of tickets to the raffle (dependent on membership level):
- Student/Senior: 5 Tickets
- Individual: 5 Tickets
- Family: 10 Tickets
- Folklife Friend: 10 Tickets
- Folk Hero: 15 Tickets
- Folk Legend: 15 Tickets
- Folk Saint: 20 Tickets
Other ways to get Raffle Tickets:
1. Purchase New TXF Merch: Wear one of the new TXF Bonfire shirts to AKQ and receive two free raffle tickets when you visit our Info Table at the show (can also show receipt of purchase to claim tickets).
