Join the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts at the opening reception of True Texas II: Folk & Traditional Arts from the Concho Valley. Be one of the first to enjoy the exhibit and enjoy refreshments from City Café & Bakery, and music from Randy Blackwood.
About the Exhibit:
From the familiar—intricate hand sewn quilts and finely engraved silver belt buckles—to the more obscure—custom built spinning wheels to life-size “La Catrina” figures crafted with brown paper, the exhibit will give visitors a rare, first ever opportunity to view the work of 30 juried folk and traditional artists--generational folk/traditional art forms that have helped shape the unique character of the region. The exhibit will run from September 22 through November 27, 2022. Operating hours are from 11 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
