What a Year It's Been! Become a Member and Support Our Work

Texas Folklife Supporters,

The year is coming to a close and we would like to once again thank you for being a part of what we've accomplished together in 2018.  If you haven't already, the best way to continue your support of our mission this holiday season is by becoming a member or renewing your Texas Folklife membership.

Over the past year, we have accomplished many incredible feats, including: teaching Austin middle school students how to tell and record their stories for radio broadcast, fostering the transmission of cultural traditions between master artists and their apprentices, creating opportunities for huapangoconjunto, zydeco, and artists of many other traditional music genres, and cataloging and digitizing our rich holdings of archival materials.

We have a lot planned for 2019, including more of your favorites like The Big Squeeze, the 30th annual Accordion Kings and Queens, and Festival of Texas Fiddling. We'll also be hosting more house concerts and visual art exhibits at our headquarters in Austin, plus some other exciting statewide initiatives.

Will you continue to be part of Texas Folklife by making a gift today? There's still time to make your end of year tax-deductible donation.  Thank you for supporting our mission to preserve, present, and celebrate the folk and traditional arts of Texas.
