Texas Folklife and Lancaster Forward invite the public to a vibrant community celebration in honor of mothers and matriarchs—Fiesta de las Madres—on Saturday, May 10, from 11 AM to 4 PM in the heart of Lancaster’s Historic Town Square. This free, family-friendly event will spotlight cultural heritage, live music, artisan vendors, and more, with performances by Victoria Rosa Sauceda and Jack Mason.

This heartfelt event pays tribute to the women who anchor families and communities, blending tradition, rhythm, and love through a shared celebration of music and culture.

Featured Performers:

Victoria Rosa Sauceda
A San Antonio native and 8th-generation musician, Victoria Rosa Sauceda brings a rich blend of mariachi roots, acoustic sounds, and refined vocal artistry to the stage. She began performing at fifteen with a local mariachi and has since toured across Texas and trained intensively in both New York City and Miami. Her performances are a fusion of tradition and experimentation, offering audiences a captivating and soulful acoustic set.

Jack Mason
An internationally touring singer, songwriter, and producer, Jack Mason has captivated audiences across three continents. Known for his high-energy shows, commanding vocals, and electric guitar mastery, Jack performs over 300 shows a year and has garnered millions of views and streams online. With deep musical roots shaped by a globally immersed upbringing, Jack brings a powerful and passionate performance that resonates with fans of all ages.


Fiesta de las Madres is part of an ongoing cultural event series hosted by Texas Folklife and Lancaster Forward to uplift community traditions and showcase the diverse artistic voices across Texas. Attendees can enjoy live performances, interactive arts experiences, and local vendors offering handmade crafts and treats—all while celebrating the maternal figures who inspire and sustain us.
