Apply for the 2022 Community Folklife Fellowship
This six-month program will run from March 15, 2022 through September 15, 2022.
All training will be conducted virtually via Zoom and Google Classroom. Mentorship and training opportunities are provided through Texas Folklife's network of folklorists, audio producers, scholars, and institutional partners. Fellows will be part of a cohort that meets regularly.
Each fellow will produce a documentary podcast episode, which Texas Folklife will distribute through our website, Soundcloud, and PRX as part of a new podcast series. Each Fellow will also create a blog post for their project and teach a workshop for community members in their region. This fellowship will require a consistent commitment and independent work. Expect to spend 10-20 hours per month on this project, outside of workshops.
