Preserve Texas Traditions: Apply Now for the 2025 Apprenticeship Program!

Texas Folklife is excited to announce that the application deadline has been extended for our 2025 Apprenticeship Program! This unique program supports the continuation of traditional art forms by connecting experienced artist mentors with apprentices eager to learn, practice, and preserve cultural traditions across Texas.

About the Program

The Apprenticeship Program fosters the passing down of traditional skills and knowledge, ensuring the vibrancy of Texas’ diverse cultural heritage. Whether it’s quilting, conjunto accordion, or other time-honored crafts and practices, this program strengthens the connections between generations of artists and communities.

Application Details

The application process consists of three essential parts. All components must be completed and submitted by January 15, 2025, to be considered. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Timeline:

  • Application Deadline: January 15, 2025
  • Award Notification: February 2025
