The Folklorist Next Door
A podcast from Texas Folklife

Folk traditions are not far away or long ago. They live next door, in kitchens and dance halls, at altars and around tables. The Folklorist Next Door brings them to you, one story at a time.

Folklorists explore foodways, music, ritual celebrations, and more. Several episode producers participated in Texas Folklife’s Community Folklife Fellowship program, where they received mentorship, training workshops, and project support.

New episodes release on Wednesday mornings, beginning June 17 at 6 AM. Ten episodes, ten perspectives, all rooted in Texas.
