Apprenticeship Program: Celebrate National Polka Day

  • By Mariela Freire
  • 178 Landa Park Dr., New Braunfels, TX 78130

Celebrate National Polka Day with a free concert from 18-year-old accordionist Levi Burroughs this Sunday, August 9.

The performance marks the culmination of Levi’s summer apprenticeship through Texas Folklife with mentor Alex Meixner, International Polka Hall of Fame inductee and renowned Wurstfest performer. Over three months, Levi studied the music and traditions of Texas Germans while developing his skills on the piano accordion. All are welcome.

Sunday, August 9 | 3 PM CT
Spass Haus, Wurstfest Grounds, 178 Landa Park Dr., New Braunfels, TX 78130
