North Texas Giving Day 2024

This year, Texas Folklife is participating in North Texas Giving Day to raise $10,000 to support our Big Squeeze program, a cornerstone event celebrating young accordionists statewide.

Your contributions will help us preserve and promote Texas’ diverse accordion genres, such as polka, zydeco, conjunto, and Tejano, while inspiring the next generation of musicians.

Your donation can make a big impact:

$200 supports travel expenses for a Big Squeeze Youth Ambassador to attend statewide events.

$500 funds a Big Squeeze pop-up event, bringing accordion music to new communities.

$1,000 helps us host a Big Squeeze Youth Accordion Showcase, providing a platform for emerging talent.

$5,000 supports a comprehensive educational accordion music program for schools and community groups, keeping this vibrant musical tradition alive.
