Timothy Brown Jr. is a passionate photographer and videographer with over a decade of experience capturing people, places, and moments. Timothy has worked in the fashion, special events, sports, and portrait photography industries. As a photojournalist, Timothy has covered the unhoused crisis in Dallas, Texas. Timothy is the owner and lead photographer at BrownBoxcar Imaging. Prior to coming to Texas Folklife, Timothy served as the Creative Director for Earth of Atlas Apothecary and Boutique. At EoA, Timothy spearheaded creative campaigns that improved brand identity, increased brand presence, and facilitated growth in diverse demographic segments. Timothy has worked with a variety of non-profit organizations across Texas and Oklahoma. His creative background and experience has helped non-profits shape their media campaigns. Timothy began his career at Texas Folklife in 2022 as a volunteer, later transitioning into a contract position. He joined the Texas Folklife team in a permanent role on October 1st, where he currently holds the position of Creative Programs & Media Coordinator. Timothy flourishes in environments where creativity meets storytelling, and he is always on the lookout for new opportunities to connect with people and projects that align with his passions.
