Salon Series: South Indian Bharatanatyam Dance and Carnatic Music

Featuring: Guru Dr. Sreedhara Akkihebbalu, Anuradha Ramachandra, Divya Warrier, Shreelakshmi Nagaraj, Shruthi Karpur, Skanda Narayanan, Srinivas Varadharajan

Join us for a cultural journey through classical South Indian art forms that continue to thrive in Texas’s Indian diaspora. The evening opens with an introduction by Guru Dr. Sreedhara Akkihebbalu (2021 Apprenticeship Program mentor), followed by a bharatanatyam performance by his students from Kaveri Natya Yoga: Anuradha Ramachandra, Divya Warrier, and Shreelakshmi Nagaraj. Dance will be presented with live carnatic accompaniment by Shruthi Karpur (voice), Srinivas Vadhiraj (violin), and Skanda Narayanan (mridangam).
