Texas Folklife Heads to Nacogdoches for a Week of Community and Culture
Texas Folklife is heading to Nacogdoches next week, and we are looking forward to connecting with the community and taking part in a series of meaningful events.
We are proud to partner with International Farmers and Ranchers to help kick off their 2nd Annual Agriculture and Forestry Summit with a Welcome Reception on the evening of June 10 at the Nacogdoches Visitors Center. This gathering sets the tone for a weekend centered on the people, traditions, and cultural knowledge rooted in the land. The summit continues June 11 and 12 at the Nacogdoches County Civic Center, bringing together voices from across the agricultural and forestry sectors.
The week concludes with a celebration of music and tradition during the 36th Annual Texas Blueberry Festival. On Saturday, June 13 from 1 to 4 PM, join Texas Folklife at Mast Hall for the Blueberry Jam, featuring Cajun accordionist Jude Moreau and Texas Soul-Americana artist Kelvin Thomas. It is a relaxed afternoon of live music in the heart of downtown, and we invite everyone to stop by, listen, and celebrate together.
